But wait...this is Ohio! It probably won't last!
So yesterday...I finished the cold medicine that I had been taking for my cold. Brittany woke up and said she felt like she was all stuffy again so I pulled the box off the shelf that I only use in case I have nothing better to use. It is Sineaid...have you ever used it? It works...I'll give you that. But it is impossible to go about your life as you know it. I gave us both a dose about 9AM...we were both good through lunch time and then...I have no idea what happened but I went upstairs to lay across my bed for a few minutes and woke up at 4:15! I couldn't believe it...but I couldn't move. I was dreaming weird dreams...seeing people and having conversations with people that I haven't seen in years. To top it off...in my dream we had moved my husbands office around which blocked the door and I couldn't get in or out for that matter...I woke up relieved to know that all the craziness that was in my head was only that...craziness in my head! Into the trash can that medicine shall go. I felt like I lost a whole day!
I can't imagine going through life on drugs...having a substance controlling me. That would be just awful.
The tree cutters are back...they have really thinned out the oak trees along the park's hillside...I am hoping it will allow a bit more sunshine around here. I guess time will tell.
That's about it! Oh, my husband passed another exam yesterday! One more biggie to go and then hopefully, at least for a while he'll be caught up.
Blessings!
Joyce Marie
Wow! I think I would throw that Sine-aid away, too! Isn't it a little scary what medicine can do to us? Sometimes the side effects might not be worth the benefits of the medicine!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, glad it is a warm day for you. It's supposed to be near 60 here today...I'm loving this warmer weather...Hope you have a great day, Joyce!
Congratulations to your Hubbie on passing his exam!
The weather was VERY nice yesterday.....I wore SANDALS to the library. he he
ReplyDeleteOh Joyce, this medication you took sounds like one I took a couple of years ago, called Zyrtec, I thought I was going to loose my mind....my brain hurt, I felt tired, grump and sleep.
ReplyDeleteWe too are having wonderful weather.
Have a wonderful day!
Katia
Oh, wow! How scary! Ugh! :(
ReplyDeletePraise God for your hubby passing his test!
Yikes! That must have been really terrible! I hope you are feeling better today. & yay, for your husband and the exam.
ReplyDeleteLeanne
Hi Joyce Marie,
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well these days. My husband has high fever since yesterday. But he has important job to attend to today so I must not remember no to give him that medicine!
I'll be praying for you and Brittany for complete recovery.
Congrats to your DH for passing the exam.
Hope you could come and join us for a cup of tea.
I kind of have that problem when I take Nyquil.
ReplyDeleteHope you get to feeling better soon.
Our day started out sunny and warmer then by 2 I looked out the window and it was snowing. Go figure! At least I got a 2 mile walk in before.
Hugs!
Don't you just hate medicine like that? I've had those kind of experiences and, I'm with you, I wouldn't want to feel like that or be controlled by drugs like that.
ReplyDeleteIt snowed here tonight! At least 3 inches on the ground. *sigh* We have so much mud, it's ridiculous. I'm SO ready for Spring to be here. Of course, you realize, I'll be complaining about the heat in about 4 months. LOL
Hope you and Brittany are feeling better!! SO happy for your hubby!!
God bless you - Julie
Oh dear friend, that sounds like you had a very bad reaction to the medication. This happens so often :(
ReplyDeleteI pray that you and your darling daughter will begin to feel better soon. Colds take awhile to go away, but you must rest and allow your body to do what the Lord design it to do...
Praying for you and your dear family,
Maria
